Cradle Grid

One world. One timeline. Every decision remembered.

A persistent online strategy RPG played through text and a living map, set in the near future. There are no instances. No regional shards. Everyone exists in the same world, at the same time. And the world remembers what you do.Negotiation matters more than stats. Violence is possible, but never trivial. Judgment matters more than speed.Register interest below for early access - limited places.

The world didn’t end.It just stopped making sense. There was no single moment of collapse - just systems failing quietly, institutions thinning out, and certainty dissolving. What remained was people trying to live, organise, survive and deciding what mattered next. This is a near-future world shaped by aftermath, not apocalypse. Society still exists, but trust is fragile, memory is long, and actions leave traces. You don’t play a hero. You play a person navigating what remains.

This is a game about judgement, not reflexes

You don’t win by clicking faster or chasing visible numbers.
You act deliberately. You commit to intent. You live with outcomes.
Most mechanics are hidden by design. Instead of stats, the game surfaces meaning - cues, descriptions, traces of activity, and changes in how the world responds.Violence is possible, but never trivial. Reputation and memory matter because the world does not reset around you.Make noise, and it’s noticed.
Draw attention, and it lingers.

Not everything about this world is understood.
Some questions may never have answers.

A world that reacts to presence

There is one shared, persistent map that expands gradually over time.
Where you are determines who you can interact with and who notices you.
Actions generate noise. Noise builds attention. Attention escalates risk - from players and from the world itself. You’re never shown numbers. You feel when a place becomes watched.

Decisions over dexterity

The game runs on a fixed global tick. Once per tick, you choose a single intent and stance. That decision locks in.There is no action stacking, no reaction-speed advantage, and no scripting safety net.Conflict is explicit, targeted, and costly. Loss is slow, recoverable, and narrative - not catastrophic.

A pledge to you

Cradle Grid is an independent project in early development. We’re validating interest before committing years of time, effort, and risk to building this world properly. If enough people genuinely want this to exist, development will continue and early access will be limited. If not, the project may stop, and that will be communicated honestly.

Scavenge or hunt.
Collaborate or betray.
The choice is yours.
The outcome is for everyone.

If this sounds like a world you’d step into…
